An absolutely beautiful day yesterday, March 1 2025...We still have several inches of snow on the ground, but the sun was out all day, nary a cloud in the sky and no wind...Rusty went for a walk early and I kept telling myself, "you have to walk."
Pam called about noon and said, "Lets walk." Thinking we/I might be able to navigate off road we drove towards the lake, but decided the track at Joseph Charter School, was a better option for me...We walked the track, 3 laps, reminisced about the days that we both had worked at the school (that is where our friendship began, many years ago.) and all the changes, that have been made...We left the track, wandered past the new practice gym, onto the playground for the elementary students, and reminisced more about how the campus is now for all students, kindergarten through 12th grade...All the time we were catching sight of our mountains and the beautiful place we live in.
A meandering drive, took us around some of the back roads in Joseph, liking some of the development that has happened, but in other places, where houses are "stacked in willy nilly, added onto, and piles of stuff, old vehicles everywhere," not so much...Enough of that, we made our way back to Barton Heights, thought about sitting on the deck, not a good idea, and found ourselves dining on chips and salsa, drinking our first "Cayman Jack" (Margarita in a can) of the new year, taking in the view out the kitchen window...A game of cards closed out a lovely day...Hugs to All...OWAV:)
