Today I fill the jars with turkey and elk meat and start the canning process...The turkey bones simmered all day yesterday so we should have about 8 quarts of broth and close to 30 pints each of turkey and elk...That adds up to at least 5 canners so will spread it out over two days.
I have been blogging for over a year now so looked back one year ago today, 02/09/11... The weather was windy, wet, snowy, rainy, very little sun and 27º...Herb and I were getting ready for our trip to Arizona and a chunk of our roof was about to blow off.
