Chinese Dinner...30º

We had our choice of weather yesterday, sun one minute and snow, wind or rain the next...I managed a walk on the track before the dark clouds gathered on the mountain and told me it was time to start for home...Pam arrived shortly thereafter, coming from a hike on the east moraine...Nice to have a visit with her and catch up on her world.

I had time to change clothes before Pat arrived and we were off to the Chinese dinner at the only Chinese restaurant in Wallowa County...This dinner was held in conjunction with the Big Read and we joined fellow writers "The Write People" at a table in the very middle of the action...I say action because the dinner sold out, every booth/chair was filled...75 to 80 people attended...The restaurant is not large and the noise level reached a crescendo, quieted down a bit as people helped themselves to the buffet dinner...We dined on duck, chicken, shrimp, ribs, noodles, fried rice, steamed vegetables (not the ordinary bean sprouts but things such as black fungus and lotus root)...It was a successful event and I'm sure that the Chinese family that owns the restaurant was pleased to have the business.

Nothing on my calendar today, so maybe can get down to some serious sorting of more papers and memento's that have collected in my roll top desk for a few years...  Hugs to all...     OWAV:)

PS..Check out yesterdays blog for added photos.
