Spring Break, Day 6...38º

Rainbow

Looking out of our west window toward Chief Joseph Mountain a storm brewed...We knew that in just minutes we were in for a dandy storm...What we hadn't anticipated was the rainbow that preceded it...It lasted only a few short minutes and I quickly snapped a photo...It doesn't do the rainbow justice but you get the idea...It was an eerie scene.

After a breakfast of sourdough pancakes topped with huckleberry compote we cleared the table for another computer session...Then we were off to walk the track and back home to help Rusty make hors d' oeuvres for dinner...He was chopping "stuff" to make stuffed mushrooms, wrapping scallops in bacon and Bobi started wrapping water chestnuts in bacon to simmer in a plum sauce...This recipe was compliments of Pat, but Bobi just couldn't help making her own changes...Late afternoon, the tri tip was done, salad made and another meal was soon over.

Hors d' oeuvres
Pam came for a visit and then Becky, John, Josh and Megan arrived after their LaGrande trip...A rousing time ensued as stories were shared along with beverages of choice... Hugs to all...  OWAV:)
