Working on The List...40º

Our mountains are in full view again, smoke is gone, air is clear...We had booming thunder and lightning early Saturday morning, with a small amount of rain, not nearly enough but will do for now.

Rusty arrived late Friday afternoon on the tail of a windstorm...Dinner was in the oven...We decided to brave the wind and harvest the potatoes, while dinner finished cooking...Wind died down and we soon had two lovely boxes of nice sized, clean potatoes...One thing checked off the list.

Early Saturday morning found us in the garden again, garlic ready to be planted...The ground was unusually dry (even with the rain shower) but we managed to plant and mulch 200 garlics...It will sprout next spring shortly after the snow melts.

After breakfast, since it was a chilly day, I started taco soup, mixed dry ingredients for cornbread and decided apple pie would give the guys a treat to make up for a soupy dinner...While I was in the kitchen, the "guys" were cleaning the chimney and stove pipe, getting it ready for the winter...The list is shrinking, unless I start adding more items...Hugs To All...OWAV:)

Makes me smile.

Made us all smile.
