Smoky...60º

Although we have no fires near us, our valley continues to be shrouded in a smoky haze, that covers the mountains and actually helps to keep the temperature lower, but very bad for the people with respiratory problems...We have possible thunder showers in our forecast for today, hope it is not dry lightening because our forests are tinder dry.

Kind of a ho-hum week, watering, cleaning, mowing and not much cooking, made possible because we have lots of fresh veggies in the garden and melons from the produce truck...I made salmon patties yesterday to go with patty pans, cucumbers, tomatoes and later we ate melon.

I volunteer at the local museum this morning, so have to get moving and make a zucchini casserole, ready to go in the oven when I get home about 1:30...That's life on Barton Heights, mid August...Hugs To All...OWAV:)
