 Day Lily

Our yard is a lovely sight this morning, green, lush and clean after the rain...Looks like we have a week of sunshine coming our way with the possibility of showers late every afternoon...Just chatted with Rusty, he has a ticket to New Jersey, leaving on a red eye flight, Saturday night the 7th...Chatted with Bobi last night, time is getting close for their visit...think I better get on with my day while it is cool...I will blog later...Hugs

Back again, cool breeze on the deck, but compare that to the 102° in Oklahoma at 10am this morning, I will gladly take the cool breeze...Talked to all three of my sisters this morning... Three of us here in the west with mild temperature and nice rainfalls in the last few days and sister Bobbie burning up with the low temp at 80° and the high today 115 °... No let up in sight and no rain...They are lucky to have airconditioning so they can stay comfortable... Making short trips outside of their house they irrigate at the base of their trees during the day hoping to keep them alive...Uncle Jim is doing well after his heart attack, and drove himself to town yesterday for the first time...Bobbie said it wore him out so he is resting today...Loraine sounded good and was reading the paper when I called...Mona busy as always, we talked about maybe not canning this year as most of the fruit froze...don't know if the cucumbers will produce with the cool summer...So maybe no pickles either...So much for the "Sister" report...Mom always kept us in weekly contact as she would visit on the phone then pass on the news to each of us.

Day Lilies

Herb and I have eye appointments in LaGrande tomorrow, so will be a getaway for us...Have a list started, our usual stops are Walmart, BiMart and Grocery Outlet...Not much to write about today so will be back on Friday with more "blathering"...~OWAV:)
