Yesterday morning Herb helped Bobi load her car and she was on the road before 10am...One stop in Elgin to load her car even more with Wallowa County beef for their freezer...The day was sunny and warm for late fall and we got her text late afternoon that she had arrived and was waiting for Stan to come home from work to help with the unloading...After breaking her ankle/leg, early July, she is still wearing an ankle brace while the leg heals and she works at getting the motion back...Not so easy for her to lift, carry and haul the load into the basement...It is always a letdown when family leaves after a visit...I like the quiet of our own routine but love having "kids home" to cook, laugh, cry and break up our daily lives...It was a short but very nice visit.
After a day or two of peace and quiet, Rusty will return after a 3 week hunting trip in Idaho, with stories to tell of how big the elk, how many points and how many miles they packed the meat on their backs to get it back to camp...Suppose I should be thinking about cooking and canning.
Our only trick or treater last night was "Bat Man"...He was dressed for the occasion and his wide smile and sack of treats, proved that he was having a good time..."Robin" on the other hand had grown tired of this game and took a break with grandparents...Hugs To All...OWAV:)
