Rusty and I are still working on garden prep for next year...He blew maple leaves into piles, then chopped them up with a new "toy" blower/chopper...I spread them on garden beds, along with the chopped straw, and he topped them with well aged manure, then we placed plastic fencing over them to keep the quail out...All four beds are now done...We will finish up by placing more straw, on the raspberries and asparagus to keep the weeds at bay.
I washed the rest of the carrots, about 20# total, and bagged them in gallon ziplock...They will be stored in the refrigerator crisper for use this winter...Some will be gifted to friends...We are feeling spoiled by these warm fall days...Hugs to All...OWAV:)
