Mona and Jerry's Backyard 2/24/13
It started snowing again at about 9am yesterday morning, continued off and on all day adding another 6+ inches to the existing snow...We made a quick trip to the used book store for reading material and filled our car with fuel...Planned to go to Costco but instead crept slowly back home leaving the snow covered, slick roads to others who had more important business...Jerry replenished our Pepsi and Milk supply while Herb fueled the car...Back home Mona and I juiced lemons with her little electric juicer then decided to make a lemon meringue pie...Luckily my recipe is on my laptop and we were soon mixing, cooking, rolling and baking...We used arrowroot in place of cornstarch in the pie...For dinner we dined on steak, with broccoli and noodles on the side and for dessert we had Lemon Soup....The pie didn't set like it should have so we dubbed it Lemon Soup and happily ate it out of a bowl using a spoon.
