A Christmas Carol...19º

Mid afternoon found Pam and I on our way to Lostine...A sunny, fairly warm, winter day in Wallowa County...However we wore winter coats and carried our blankets...Plays are held in the gymnasium of the Old Lostine School...The heating system is antiquated and loud...So the building with the heat turned on is toasty when we arrive, as soon as the play starts the heat is turned off so that "we" the audience can hear the play...As the play progresses the blankets are put to good use...This performance is the last one for the season and plays to a standing room only crowd...We sit enthralled as we are entertained by all local talent in "A Christmas Carol"...Scrooge is at his "scroogiest" and Tiny Tim once again steals our hearts...We leave with spirits lifted and arrive home, where Herb has wine poured and dinner almost ready.

Today is a full schedule for me with a book group brunch this morning, then back home to appear at the Josephy Center as the afternoon docent...I finished writing our Christmas letter yesterday, maybe tomorrow I can get them printed to mail or sent via internet...Hugs To All...OWAV:)
