Sauerkraut and sausages on simmer for dinner yesterday...The gift of banana squash that I brought home on Monday was upside down in huge chunks on a cookie sheet and placed in the oven to bake...It's fragrance filled the house and at noon Herb and I sat down to "just squash"...He put butter/sugar/cinnamon on his and I butter/salt/pepper on mine...Normally we don't eat at this time but just couldn't resist this treat...The rest of the squash I let cool and packaged it in baggies to freeze for dinners later this winter...Sauerkraut and sausages over mashed potatoes was kind of anti-climatic when we ate dinner after my acupuncture appointment.
After several sunny days and moonlit nights we are cloudy this morning, looking for snow-fall today...Supposed to go to La Grande tomorrow but will keep a close eye on the weather as it is not a must do trip.
Our tickets are purchased for the musical "Guys and Dolls" playing on Christmas afternoon in Elgin...A soup and pie supper will follow, bringing the Christmas Holiday to a close for another year...Hugs To All...OWAV::
