Saturday at Mule Days...09/10/11...68°..8pm

Black Eyed Susans

I did two cookie sheets of tomatoes this morning, bagged them and they are in the freezer for winter...Then I went to Enterprise to volunteer at Mule Days.

Another full day, bigger crowds, not so warm as we had a breeze most of the day with a little cloud cover...I still didn't get over to the arena to watch the mules...Spent time at the souvenir and ticket booth...split a burger and ice cream for lunch...Helped set up for the BBQ, then had coleslaw, beans and BBQ'd pork for dinner...Home to a glass of wine, catch up on the scrabble games and now it is time for bed...after tomorrow Mule Days will be over for another year...We have the dutch oven cook off to look forward to... An interesting way of cooking, lots of good food comes out of one pan with the cooking done over charcoal.

Then the cleanup starts with everything boxed up to put in storage for another year...We usually go out for mexican food as a last hooray...~OWAV:)
