Guess we have to admit that fall is really here...Herb helped me haul all of the house plants in from the front porch last night, so they wouldn't freeze...(they love spending the summers out there)...Have been watching the larch trees as they slowly turn from soft green to lime and finally to gold before the needles drop to the ground... A sure sign that shorter colder days are about to arrive...Couple that with daylight saving time that is right around the corner and our evenings will get dark earlier...I have mixed emotions about daylight saving time but will spare you another "rant and rave" today.
One of the reasons for my blogging is to keep a record of daily happenings, weather, etc. Was it colder or warmer last year at this time, are the leaves turning earlier...Those kinds of things...I have a couple of fall photos taken last year on November 3rd so have something to compare this fall...Certainly can't rely on my memory!
Didn't work outside yesterday as planned, stayed cold until late afternoon...Did get a walk in with Pat...Herb finished drying the garlic...Our neighbor Dave brought us beets and carrots...More work and today I have write group...Must get going, making soup to share... Hugs to all... OWAV:)
