Beer Bottling Time...33º

Physical therapy this morning, maybe a quick visit to Jane, then back home for the final stage of bottling and capping the beer...Herb has a case of beer bottles washed, old labels soaked off and ready to go into the dishwasher for the final sterilizing wash and heat dry...Then another week in the bottles before it is ready to drink...The cost of making your own brew is about 1/2 what it costs from the store and Nick thinks a much better product, but it does take time...Haven't decided if it is something I want to continue with or not...Don't drink a lot of beer but it has been fun going through the process.

Chocolate class went well yesterday...Gretchen is a candy maker so knew the basics but has never done much with fondant or dipping etc...She was an avid student and would like to start a small business selling confections...We spent nearly three hours going through all the steps; cooking, stirring, shaping and dipping...She left here trying to process all of this new found info...I wished her well and told her to call or email with questions...Candy making takes patience and practice...I've had my share of failures, made many mistakes but I still love trying new techniques and different flavors, such as the strawberry fondant sitting in the fridge waiting to be dipped...Check out Bobi's blog on making apple cider caramels, might have to give that a try...Hugs To All....OWAV:)
