Windy...39º

The snow that covered the ground yesterday morning is gone...Our wind chimes sang through the night  as the predicted winds blew into the valley...Wind, rain, maybe snow is in the forecast for the next few days for many parts of Oregon and other western states...What will Wednesday bring as our girls make their way from Portland, through the Columbia Gorge and over the "Blues"(mountain range)...Coming from a different way, over the Ochoco and Elkhorn mountains, Rusty will blow in today or tomorrow.

I now have two flavors (orange and lemon) of creamy, soft, delectable fondant stored in the fridge...Soon to come mint, butter rum, berry and ???---Yummy...Almost always when I make the first batch of fondant I pour it onto the marble slab to cool and immediately add more butter, cream and sugar to the hot pan and continue to make the first batch of fudge...It is easy to make, just boil then pour over marshmallows, chocolate chips stir until all is melted and pour into a glass baking dish...The hard part is getting it into the freezer before it is all gone...(just kidding).

PT and Book group are on the agenda this morning...A stop at the grocery and home to do more candy (I'm on a roll now)....Nick emailed last night and this afternoon we will rack the ale into another sterilized fermentation container where it will finish working before we bottle in two weeks...Hugs to all...OWAV:)
